Camex Adds Doosan Robotics to Its Cobot Lineup — More Options for Canadian Manufacturers

Camex Robotics is expanding its cobot partner network with the addition of Doosan Robotics — a South Korean manufacturer producing some of the most advanced collaborative robots on the market today.

Why Doosan?

Doosan Robotics stands out for one key reason: torque sensors on all six joints, standard across every model. This means the robot feels force in every direction at every joint — enabling safe, compliant operation right out of the box without additional safety hardware. Compared to cobots that only detect force at the tool tip, Doosan's full-joint sensing makes the system more responsive and safer in close-proximity human-robot collaboration scenarios. Their H-SERIES models offer up to 25 kg payload with a 1700 mm reach, making them suitable for tasks that other cobots simply can't handle.

Applications for Canadian Manufacturers

Doosan cobots are particularly well-suited for heavy machine tending, bin picking with vision systems, assembly with force-controlled insertion, and palletising. Their DART-Suite software platform includes a no-code programming environment that allows operators to create and modify programs without specialist knowledge. For job shops running high-mix / low-volume production, this dramatically reduces changeover time between part families. Camex will integrate Doosan cobots with the same custom fixturing, PLC connections, and safety systems that are standard on all our turnkey solutions.

Demo Units Now Available

A live Doosan H0515 demonstration cell is now operational at our Laval, Quebec facility. Manufacturers can book an in-person visit to see the system running on representative parts, or schedule a virtual walkthrough with one of our application engineers. We are also building a second demo cell at the Mississauga facility, expected to be ready by June 2026. As with all Camex integration projects, the process begins with a free, no-obligation application assessment.

Contact Camex to book your Doosan demo or application review. Our team covers Quebec, Ontario, and the northeastern United States — with full local support from day one.
